Castle Air Academy offer specific Type Rating Instructor standardisation courses on the following types:
The course consists of teaching and learning in a classroom environment, operational briefing, flight training plus a skills test.
The course can include the ‘core course’ of teaching and learning if a Flight Instructor (FI) rating is not held.
- 25 hours of teaching and learning.
- 5 hours’ flight training if initial TRI(H) or if previous holder of TRI(H) then a minimum 2 hours’ flight training and assessment.
- 1 hour skill test
